Keep it simple stupid!

People say one of the main reasons relational databases took over the market was their simplicity compared to hierarchical databases. I am really amazed how well this approach works in most life situations, specifically in our daily human communications. And whenever one gets bored of communicating with other people in the most simple stupid way, they could watch a nonsense movie by David Lynch! That should pay for all the simplicity!
